From Quest to Mark
Find or Choose a Quest
Each month a new quest is declared on this site and shared on Instagram. You might also find a tiny printed quest scroll left on your bike — a small folded paper with instructions, a difficulty rating, and a point value. If it found your bike, consider it chosen.
All active quests are listed on the Current Quest page. Past quests live in the Archive — some may still be completable at reduced point value.

Each quest has a specific challenge. It might be a distance, a time of day, a type of terrain, a place to find, or a strange small task. Some are easy. Some are cursed. All are honest.
Quests are designed to be doable on any bike — a commuter, a mountain bike, a fixie, a grocery-getter, a children's bicycle borrowed for mysterious purposes. You do not need to be fast. You need to be present.

Each quest specifies what counts as proof. Usually: a photo or short video posted to your Instagram, tagged @bikequests, with the hashtag #bikequest.
Some quests require specific proof — a photo at the summit, a screenshot of your GPS route, a picture of the specific thing you found. The quest card will tell you exactly what's needed. The Order will witness.

Once your proof post is seen and verified, you earn the points listed on the quest. Points are tracked manually — the Order keeps count, but you're also encouraged to keep your own tally. Honor system is foundational here.
Point values range from 5 pts (easy quests) to 50 pts (cursed and legendary quests). Bonus points are sometimes awarded for exceptional deeds, bizarre documentation, or truly unreasonable distances.

Once you've accumulated enough points, head to the Rewards page, gather your proof links, and submit your sticker request. Stickers are mailed by hand from the Appalachian hills. No tracking. No login. Just a small envelope arriving eventually.
Higher point totals unlock different marks — the basic Order sigil at 25 pts, the full chainring mark at 75 pts, and legendary marks for those who accumulate obscene amounts of riding.

The Order is mostly honorable. These bylaws govern conduct.
One Quest Per Month
The monthly quest is the main event. Check back on the first of each month for the new declaration.
Any Bike Qualifies
Road, gravel, mountain, hybrid, cargo, BMX, tricycle, recumbent. If it has two (or more) wheels and you pedal it, it counts.
Proof Must Be Public
Your Instagram post needs to be visible to the Order. Private accounts cannot be verified. Consider a quest-specific post or a temporary public setting.
The Honor System
We trust you. Don't manufacture proof. The road sees everything. Your points are only as good as your honesty.
Sticker Mailing
Stickers are sent via standard mail. Delivery is not guaranteed but is earnestly attempted. International riders: we'll try.
Archive Quests
Past quests can still be completed at half point value, unless marked EXPIRED. Check the archive for details.
Bonus Deeds
The Order may grant bonus points for exceptional, documented weirdness, unusual distances, or acts of genuine bike-related heroism.
No Account Needed
There's no login, no account, no tracking. You keep your tally. The Order witnesses proof on Instagram. Simple and strange.
